So because we are most lucky kittens, there is an Indigenous Film Festival being held as part of as part of NAIDOC Perth while we're at SOS. NAIDOC celebrations are held in the first full week in July to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People. NAIDOC originally stood for ‘National Aborigines and Islander Day Observance Committee’. This committee was once responsible for organising national activities during NAIDOC Week, and its acronym has become the name of the week itself.

Koora Yeye Boorda (Yesterday Today & Tomorrow) is being held by Kulbardi Aboriginal Centre, Murdoch University. It's on Sunday 8th of July starting at 4pm Kim Beasley Lecture Theatre, Bush Court, Murdoch University Kulbardi Aboriginal Centre.

This is an amazing Indigenous film festival which will highlight award winning short films and documentaries from WA Indigenous filmmakers; and will include a Nyungar welcome and Director question and answer session. This event will be the Perth premiere of the new short documentary FOOTPRINTS IN THE SAND.
